Associate DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Summary:

This role will function as a key contributor to the Gateway team in the following areas: automation, and development of system environments that support the Gateway functions.

Job Details:

  • Manages application related incidents within the enterprise ticketing system
  • Provide application support in resolving and troubleshooting problems
  • Configure software builds and automated deployments to non-prod and production
  • Create, maintain, and enhance tools and scripts to build and deploy our software products
  • Ensure compliance of all security measures in application support across the enterprise
  • Troubleshoot Application Configuration issues in development and test environments
  • Provide and support recommendations for improved processes and procedures, as well as create and maintain documentation related to processes and procedures
  • Maintain and update technical documents and procedures
  • Continually evaluate tools and technologies to improve the overall release process

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • 1-3 years of engineering or information technology industry experience
  • Must have strong deductive reasoning & diagnostic problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, fast learner, willing to go outside of comfort zone and learn new things
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of platforms (Linux and/or Windows)

  • Experience with source control systems such as GIT, and Team Foundation Server (TFS)

  • Knowledge in various branching/merging methodologies and release procedures

  • Experience with continuous integration build engines, such as Jenkins, Team City, etc

  • Experience with container technology such as Docker

  • Development experience with Python, C#, and Java

  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) 

  • Experience with relational databases both Oracle and MSSQL

  • Experience in release engineering, configuration management, software development or related discipline
