Associate Identity and Access Management Engineer







Brooksource is searching for an Associate Information Security Engineer specializing in Identity and Access Management for one of our leading healthcare partners located in Indian Land, SC for a 6 month contract to hire. This is the ideal opportunity for a candidate with 1-3 years of experience to quickly make a tangible impact with their network security team.




The Information Security Engineer installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots Identity and Access Management technology capabilities and integrates Identity and Access Management capabilities into the enterprise architecture and supported systems. This Engineer is responsible for managing technical security solutions to ensure the security and resilience of systems and assets, consistent with related policies, standards, and procedures. Additionally, they will implement the appropriate technical safeguards to ensure the delivery of critical infrastructure services. To achieve this goal, the Information Security Engineer tests, implements, deploys, maintains, reviews, and administers the infrastructure hardware, software, and documentation required to effectively manage cybersecurity resources utilized to achieve information security architecture goals.




Daily you will:

• Administer and operate access security capabilities within scope of responsibility (i.e.; certificate management, remote access, identity and access management, federation, etc.) to include installation, configuration, maintenance, backup and restoration.

• Test and evaluate new identity and access management applications, access controls, and configurations of platforms.

• Coordinate with network and system engineers to assist with the management of operational tools with secondary cybersecurity functions (i.e.; network policy manager, proxies, identity and access management, denial of service protection, etc.).

• Identify potential conflicts with implementation of cybersecurity tools within the enterprise information system architecture and information security architecture.

• Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical infrastructure and key resources.

• Provide technical assistance to the configuration of information system implementation of the principle of least functionality.

• Protect communications and control networks.




Skillset:

• Basic knowledge of authorization models (ACL, DAC, MAC, RBAC, ABAC, etc.)

• Basic knowledge of directory services (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory).

• Basic knowledge of key management (generation, exchange, storage, use, destruction, and replacement).

• Basic knowledge of federated identity management and single sign-on capabilities.

• Basic knowledge of data backup, types of backups (e.g., full, incremental), and recovery concepts and tools.

• Basic knowledge of information assurance (IA) principles and organizational requirements to protect confidentiality, integrity, availability, authenticity, and non-repudiation of information and data.

• Basic knowledge of networking (e.g., Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol [TCP/IP]) and how it flows in the Open System Interconnection (OSI) model stack.

• Basic skill in applying host access controls (e.g., access control list).

• Basic knowledge of: information security architecture principles; network security architecture concepts, including topology, protocols, components, and principles; network systems management principles, models, methods, and tools.

• Security+ required




Environment:

(Direct report): Reporting directly to the Information Security Manager

(Team size): 30, but growing quickly!

(Company size): 15 Hospital system

(Hours): Regular 8-5 M-F with limited weekends or on call

(Dress code): Business casual

(Location): Indian Land, SC
