Work Environment: This position is located in the Air Park/Worldport. Work environment is a professional atmosphere with frequent work with management as well as external vendors. Work is both inside office and outside office in operations areas.
Job Summary: The BaSE Admin is an administrative level position within the UPS Building and Systems Engineering department. The BaSE Admin position allows the ability to gain engineering and operations experience. This role will provide continuous career development based on the needs of the employee and the company.
Job Description: Activities performed include but are not limited to data entry, parts/materials ordering and receiving, invoice processing and working with various vendors.
Required Skills: Two or more year’s office support experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) to prepare reports, presentations and memos. Must drive open air cart to escort vendors on property.
Additional Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision with a high attention to detail. Strong analytical, oral/written communication, problem solving, basic research via UPS intranet and internet, accurate and rapid data entry, attention to detail and time management skills are all necessary. Excellent attendance records are required.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with all employee groups including all levels of the management team. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to speak to large groups of employees.BS
