Business Analyst - Lending Operations

Job Description

Expectations / role functions:

Partner with immediate manager or business partners and SMEs to execute on all aspects of delivering a project including and not limited to:

Lead and facilitate meetings:

UAT walkthrough with business, technology and snr mgmt. stakeholders

Regular status updating / presentations as required to regular project team meetings (working team sessions, operating committee and steering committee)

Working with stakeholders to:

• Troubleshoot and problem solve issues as it arises

• Understand requirements and relate testing to it

• Chase after stakeholders to prepare and to execute on UAT

• Create business cases with strong emphasis on cost benefit ratio

• Creating documentation

• High level and/or detailed requirements document

• UAT test cases and linkage to requirements

• Test Strategy and approach

• UAT defect logs

• Post UAT execution closure report

• Process mapping, current and future state

• Executive presentation decks and updates

• Become a SME from an operational perspective as it relates to one of the below listed systems



Skills / experiences:

• 5-10+ years prior experience as a project manager and/or business analyst (lending operations or finance preferred), with advance knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

• 5-10+ years prior experience leading and facilitating requirements gathering sessions and documentation

• 5-10+ years prior experience in reporting and documentation

• 5-10+ years prior experience working in a tier 1 financial institution

• 5-10+ years prior experience working in large projects / programs (i.e. Class A/B) related and not limited to change management, delivering technology solutions to satisfy business needs or systems migration

• 5-10+ years prior experience leading UAT for large initiatives from start to finish



Nice to haves (ideally at least familiar with 1 of the systems or similar):

  • Asset Based Lending (ABL) business - NTABL STUCKY/ABLM.NET/StuckyNet-Link
  • LoanIQ (Loan origination system used)
  • APMS (risk and collateral system)
  • eDrive (automotive leasing system)
  • Datascan (automotive lending system)
  • CPARS (accounting system)
  • OLBB (online business banking portal)
  • Expertise as a loan coordinator and/or lending services analyst in a loan operations background
  • SQL querying and data analytics experience / skills
  • Process improvement skills or certification (i.e. lean six sigma)
