Business Analyst

Rocky Hill, CT

6-Month Contract-To-Hire

$15-$18/hr. (Expected Salary upon Conversion: $65,000)

As a Business Analyst for our Fortune 10 health insurance client, you will be assigned to various Medicaid Prospective Payment Software (PPS) products while on assignment. This includes analyzing regulatory and business requirements, writing technical software specifications, and working with software developers to implement changes from the specifications in software, among other responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze regulatory and business requirements, specifically for Medicare PPS solutions
  • Write technical software specifications
  • Work with software developers to implement changes from the specifications in software
  • Test developmental software to ensure that specified changes were correctly implemented
  • Design and implement quality assurance procedures for the software product line
  • Provide product and/or regulatory training to clients and business partners
  • Troubleshoot and respond to regulatory and product inquiries from clients and business partners
  • Write press releases regarding product updates

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be very proficient at Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with claims processing software is a plus (ex. Facets)
  • Experience with hospital prospective payment reimbursement is a plus
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
