C#/.NET Developer

Job Description

Brooksource is searching for an Associate C# Developer for our Fortune 500 Energy partner located in Uptown Charlotte, NC for a 6-12 month contract with potential to for extension or hire. This is the ideal opportunity for a recent Computer Science college graduate with a development background to get their foot in the door and excel within a small team.

This developer will be working within our client’s Enterprise Asset Management group. The EAM team is looking to bring on a new developer to support the continued build out of their Field Mobile Apps that are used on Windows 10 tablets by field crews. The main focus will be continued C# development of functionality within the apps. Candidates will work within a highly collaborate team and be paired with Senior Developers to shadow and learn new development languages.

Daily You Will:

  • Develop additional features, apps and bug fixes for Windows 10 UWP mobile apps
  • Bring new ideas for test driven coding, DevOps capabilities and design thinking
  • Understand business processes and capabilities of the EAM mobile solution
  • Able to present information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner in both oral and written format to management
  • Occasional on call support to support testing of releases
  • Learn how to support Enterprise applications in order to effectively back up each team member
  • Work in multiple platforms and technologies including
    • C#
    • SQL Server- database development writing queries, views, & stored procedures
  • Use an Agile methodology

Skillset:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • Background and core coursework in C# development and Debugging of complex defects
  • Background and core coursework in SQL/relational database proficiency
  • Understand Agile methodology and DevOps

Qualities of a Top Candidate:

  • Interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills to work effectively with business partners, peer IT resources, and all levels of management
  • Ability to reason logically analyze and evaluate performance data and information, and draw appropriate conclusions
  • Eager and excited learned looking to grow current development and application support skills

  • Report: Reporting Directly to the Sr. IT Manager
