Job Description: Clinical Contracts Analyst
Location:  Irvine, CA  
Position Type: 8-Month Contract
 
Position Summary:

Negotiate and develop contracts associated with clinical trials, ensure contracts comply with regulations and manage the lifecycle of contracts

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, draft, redline, and negotiate 3rd party moderately complex contracts based on substantial knowledge of financial, regulatory and clinical requirements
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g Legal, Compliance, IDS (Indirect Sourcing) to provide guidance on functional contract terms and scope of services to secure appropriate approvals and mitigate risk exposure to the company
  • Track payment milestones against contract terms. Resolve payment queries and confirm contract compliance
  • Analyze need for contract amendments or renewals and make recommendations, and/or negotiate changes, to terms and conditions
  • Submit proposed final draft and supporting documentation through Legal Department’s RFA system for contract approval and secure appropriate signatures within specified signing authority
  • Other duties assigned by Leadership; Maintain CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) file
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field, 5 years’ experience healthcare related contracts and contract negotiation/administration and financial tracking/analysis against contracts Required and Master's Degree or equivalent in related field
  • Experience in international contract administration preferred
  • Full knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to contract negotiation and administration
  • Full knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations (e.g. HIPAA and Sunshine Act)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  •  Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or project
