Cloud Security Analyst (Azure or AWS or GCP)

Job Description

Something in line of an Azure/AWS architect with a strong focus on security. More than the “ I tested an app one time in Azure” or “I migrated an app to AWS”. Not looking for a developer. This person will be an advisor to the team, this is a brand new team who would love guidance and advice. They need to know cloud security best practices, investigation techniques and should be experts in this field. Right now, the team only consists of the manager, one advisor and one tech lead, and they’re looking to add 3-4 more people. They are open to relocation candidates! Technologies: The manager was VERY vague on what is required in terms of technologies, because he isn’t sure what they need. The only technology required is Azure experience (preferred) or AWS or GCP experience. • This person needs to understand the security logs being produced, be able to go through the logs and identify malicious activities. • The difference between this group and the other security groups we work with is that every group (except for this one) only deals with onsite or “on-premise” servers, where they are solely focused on cloud. • This person should come from an infrastructure background, they will not be developers or testers. Most likely will come from security, or maybe even DevOps • They will be advising the group on developing processes and procedures, and will merge their current processes with the cloud as well. • They aren’t concerned about what industry they come from, although oil and gas is preferred. But they do need experience in enterprise environments. We're seeking candidates with solid experience in the following areas. The number of years of experience is not important; however, we are seeking candidates with the ability to perform in these areas with Azure Cloud Security without training in the discipline. Client specific training will be provided. • methods of detecting intrusions • methods to prevent intrusion • cloud security best practices • cloud investigation techniques • cloud incident response • cloud vulnerability scanning tools Resource should be prepared to work in either Spring HQ or Hughes Landing. Location will be determined upon hire.
