Content/Web Writer

Job Description

.SDI is looking for a Content/Web Writer for a 12 months ongoing contract for our client located in Research Triangle Park, NC
  • An MSC Content Writer is an experienced writer with the ability to develop and create content that helps achieve business objectives for our client and its business units.
  • The content writer helps us connect with our audience through written word.
  • The writer can work across content types, including storyboards, to pitch marketing, email, video scripts, blogs, social tiles, brochures, SEO-driven web content, ebooks and other deliverables that follow Iclient Style and legal guidelines.
  • Ability to filter our average stories to find the real stories that matter
  • Maintaining production oversight to ensure creative developed is aligned to clients' goals
  • Lead discussions that achieve clarity about an assignment's objectives, audience, requirements and other points necessary to fulfill the project
  • Align text with client marketing and branding initiatives, review grammar, punctuation, syntax and adjust tone and word choice to align with appropriate business writing
  • Refine text for clarity, consistency, conciseness, and flow
  • Brainstorm content ideas and deliver a strategy that will achieve the stakeholder’s goal
  • Ensure that individual sections within a document contain the appropriate data and that the collateral meets its overall objectives
  • Research and fact check to facilitate data accuracy and consistency with client messaging
  • Maintain consistent style and naming conventions, including periodic style guide updates
  • Job Requirements

    .Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experiences as Content/Web Writer.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in interviewing C-level clients and IBusiness Partners.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience to write in different styles as needed, such as expository (e.g. white papers), narrative (e.g. volunteer stories), and persuasive (e.g. solution brief, blog).
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience working with and understanding Agile environment.
  • Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept development to content delivery; including, as necessary, working with production considerations and third-party requirements
  • Proficiency in anticipating obstacles and planning appropriate recommendations or actions to move projects forward
  • Sufficient understanding of basic marketing metrics to write content that helps achieve specific project objectives
  • Ability to contribute recommendations or suggestions that add value to the marketing plan of a project beyond the writing assignment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a deep understanding of how to develop compelling short-form B2B content across multiple channels
  • Aptitude to prioritize and efficiently manage workloads from multiple work streams with deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to research, learn and communicate about emerging technology trends and technologies
  • Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work with SMEs and project leaders to understand a given subject and provide accurate content on that subject
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new things
  • Expert in client collateral guidelines and writing style guidelines.
  • In depth understanding of client offerings and how they relate to other offerings, inside and outside of client (e.g., IBM Business Partner offerings)
  • Working understanding of client legal requirements
