Controls Project Engineer
Populus Group seeks a Controls Project Engineer at various unanticipated client locations throughout the US to design and develop electronic controls and systems used to support the vehicle manufacturing process; investigate controls and IT system integration problems and provide technical input in problem resolution; develop and monitor planning timetables and project schedules; test and validate use of digital tools to achieve virtual commissioning using a simple material handling process; manage controls and robotics campaigns at manufacturing plants to resolve controls faults; assist in the development of standard innovation processes; create new tooling items for vehicle programs and manage uploads of CAD models into Teamcenter; develop and integrate metrics of factory control information to digital models; and utilize the following: Matlab, Simulink, Codesys, TIA Portal, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ProjectWise, and Teamcenter. Must have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or foreign equivalent, and at least 2 years of experience in the job offered or substantially similar position performing all the above listed duties. Relocation to client sites at various unanticipated client locations throughout the US is possible. Relocation costs not paid.
