Customer Service Engineer

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce Government Solutions is seeking a Customer Service Engineer for our client located in Austin, TX. Helpdesk support - At a minimum, the Customer Service Engineer shall will have the following primary responsibilities:
  • Serve as a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment
  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance
  • Troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required
  • Escalate more complex issues as needed
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software, following design or installation specifications, in order to deliver required desktop service levels
  • Answer to and perform moves, adds, and changes (MAC) requests as they are submitted by management
  • Install microcomputer hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, etc.
  • Load and verify correct operation of software packages
  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to determine nature of problems and provide technical assistance
  • Test and monitor software, hardware, and peripheral equipment to evaluate use, effectiveness, and adequacy of product for user

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Helpdesk experience
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
