Cyber Security Engineer
6 month Contract to Hire
We are looking for a SME of Information Assurance (IA) support for Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Authorization and Accreditation (A&A), and DIACAP or RMF accreditation packages, artifact generation, requirements analysis, Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) plans and execution, risk assessments, systems analysis and hardening, incident response and policy analysis, trusted product
evaluations, IA program assessments, and security posture presentations. Provide analytical support for the development and submission of C&A documentation in compliance with the DIACAP or RMF framework. Apply knowledge of technology, analyze the security implications of systems and applications security, and provide recommendations to decision-makers and engineers. Work with team members to provide advice and assistance to facilitate C&A and A&A efforts
• 10+ years of experience with a combination of IT and IA
• Knowledge of IA policies, including DIACAP, NIST, RMF, and FISMA
• CAP or CASP (IAM Level II Certification)
• Background working as a systems administrator or network eng and moving into the security space would be ideal
• Secret clearance
• Any experience working with space systems including satellites, communication systems, etc. would be a nice to have
What are the day to day responsibilities of this position?
The Mid-level and Sr. Level Cyber security Engineers will be helping to drive security for a client in the public sector. Will be helping to bring systems online and will command and control the Risk Management Framework for these systems. These engineers will be responsible for auditing all applications to make sure they are secure.
