Our client in Oklahoma City is currently hiring for a Database Administrator with professional experience in a databases administration function for a minimum of 5 years. The Database Administrator will be a part of a long-term, ground-up, software development program for the Federal government. This large program (50+ people) is expected to last at least five years. This position pays up to $85K with excellent benefits and very flexible on-site office hours schedule. POSITION REQUIREMENTS ? Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related discipline. ? 5+ years of professional proven working experience as a Database Administrator. ? Hands-on experience on MS SQL Server 2016 or later version. ? Experience with Configuring and supporting SSIS ? Must be able to integrate and create web-based interfaces with SQL Server/Oracle databases ? Build database systems of high availability and quality in SQL Server. ? Design and implement databases in accordance with user requirements and create physical databases from scratch. ? Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner. ? Database tuning and optimization experience in SQL Server. ? Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards. ? Manage and maintain multidimensional databases, user accounts, database availability, recovery, and reporting. ? Design and implement database security. ? Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity. ? Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required. ? Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications. ? Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL Server. ? Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding. ? Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools. ? Must be able to obtain a government security clearance upon hire for this role. PREFERRED SKILLS ? Familiarity with programming languages API. ? Experience with Configure Always On Availability Groups in SQL Server. ?
