Job Description

Sr. Desktop Analyst
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Duration: 3-month contract with possible extension
 
The Sr. Desktop Analyst will have strong end-user interaction and communication skills, the ability to recognize potential problems and take appropriate preventative action, the ability to support a wide variety of users through phone and email communication as well as personal interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Image, deploy and support laptop workstations running Windows 7 and Windows 10 Enterprise
  • Working knowledge of Apple operating systems
  • Create and maintain Active Directory user accounts, access, and groups
  • Setting up workstation areas, such as routers, monitors, printers, and VoIP equipment
  • Troubleshooting all workstation related software issues including but not limited to: operating system, web browsers (IE, FF, Chrome), Microsoft Office (2013 and 2016), Pulse Secure VPN client, MozyPro, Java, and BlueCoat Unified Agent
  • Network troubleshooting (WiFi, Ethernet, NIC, Switch, etc.)
  • Assigning and taking ownership of IT Ticket Requests
  • Onboarding and offboarding personnel (creating/disabling accounts, providing/revoking access, etc.)
  • Provide telecom support for various devices (iPhones, and Mitel desk phones)
  • Installation and troubleshooting Microsoft O365, Skype for Business, OneDrive
  • Complying with all internal processes and procedures (ISO 27001, QMS 9000, and various related documentation)
  • Provide professional and courteous support to all internal personnel
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assisting with hardware & software procurement and inventorying
  • Training other IT personnel or staff as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Off-hours support as requested
Experience
  • Supporting an environment of at least 150+ employees
  • Administrative or in-depth familiarity of Microsoft Office 2013 & 2016, Office 365, Microsoft Team for Business and OneDrive.
  • Working with offshore colleagues in a global environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 7 & 10 operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office 2013 & 2016 and Office 365
