TEKsystems is seeking a qualified Desktop Engineer for a local enterprise level client in the Madison, Wisconsin area. This person will be heavily leveraging SCCM to manage the desktop environment within the organization. Prior experience with SCCM, scripting to automate tasks (PowerShell or otherwise), and building/packaging applications is preferred.
This position has working hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. They are currently working remotely but will return fully onsite later in 2021. Local candidates to Madison or those with serious plans to relocate are encouraged to apply.
Duties include:
- using SCCM extensively to deploy patches and software packages.
- PowerShell scripting to automate deployments
- Software patch and package testing and evaluation
- Intaking incoming incidents relating to software packages, SCCM, and Windows 10
- Windows 10 build updates
- Office365 updates
- Adobe Creative Cloud updates
SCCM, PowerShell scripting, and application packaging/patching experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Active Directory knowledge and inter-workings
Scripting tools knowledge (WinBatch, PowerShell, etc.)
Level 3 hardware and software support
