Compensation: $28.75 to $31.25 hourly

Field Technician; Robert Half Technology is working with a client that is looking for a Field Technicians who is able to support 16 different client sites around San Diego County. This is a contract to full time opportunity with a quickly growing local San Diego team and company. All candidates will be required to undergo background check, must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and have reliable transportation. Pay on contract is between $27.00 to $30.00 depending on experience and certifications. Federal reimbursement for mileage.

Field Technicians responsibilities; Asset management, monitor and maintain computer systems, support end-users with IT issues relating to computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones and printers; Troubleshoot and identify hardware/software/application problems; Provide updates to end-user and/or supervisor on progress of open tech support tickets; PC imaging and deployment, drive mapping, and printer mapping. Assist with any IT initiatives and projects to include cabling, installation of new networks in office space, tracing, toning and documenting existing cable runs, racking and stacking of network hardware, deployment of new PCs, MFP machines and various IT equipment in new office space. Documentation of tech support tickets and knowledge share documentation and inventory of IT equipment. Experience working in Active Directory (adds, moves, changes etc.).

Prior to starting all Techs will be required to undergo a Background Check, must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and have reliable transportation.

Job requirements
Requirements: • Techs must have 2+ years previous experience providing hands on desktop support to corporate end users • Must be able to communicate clearly with written or verbal communication in English • Previous experience with asset management, supporting, installing, troubleshooting and repairing PC, Laptop, tablets, printers, smartphone or other peripherals • Experience working with, troubleshooting and repairing Microsoft Office 2013, Office 365, Windows 7, Windows 10 • Familiarity Apple/Mac is highly desired • Experience working in Active Directory for end user and device management is required. • A+ and Net + certification desirable.
