Job Title: Electrical Controls Technician
Location: Wilmington, NC
Duration: (Mon-Fri 8 AM- 4:30 PM)
Non-Exempt
Description:
Work on site Wilmington Plant
1- Good process and troubleshooting skills
2- Knowledge of frequency drives, servo drives
3- Ability to handle/prioritize multiple tasks
Provide first and second-level troubleshooting of Screening, Measurements, and Automation equipment/process issues.
Receive training in new processes/equipment and/or procedure changes from engineering.
Work with support groups and production teams to coordinate and direct equipment start-up, troubleshooting, and process changes.
Develop/maintain a system to keep production teams current on the process, equipment and procedures.
Preventive Maintenance support.
Direct trades on repairs as necessary. Maintain plant documentation to support current equipment configurations and procedures.
Provide technical training for associates.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of FANUC robot programming and troubleshooting
Familiar with Allen Bradley PLC and/or Beckhoff PLC programming and communication protocols
Knowledge of frequency drives, servo drives
Conveyor system troubleshooting
Good process and equipment troubleshooting skills
Mechanically and Electrically inclined (aptitude or both)
Ability to handle/prioritize multiple tasks
Good written and verbal communication skills (detailed oriented)
Ability to train effectively
PC proficient (Excel, Word, SharePoint)
Unique or Special Requirements:
Ability to work with people in a developing, progressive work design environment
Desired Skills:
Knowledge in Automated Storage/Retrieval System (AS/RS)
Familiar with pneumatic controls and cylinders
Thoroughly carries out assignments to completion.
Works well in a team environment, is a self-starter and results-oriented.
Communicates effectively in various settings to provide and present the necessary information to Project, Department, and Site leaders.
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
Mon-Fri 8 hrs/day (Periodic OT)
Off-hours On-call support (Rotating Schedule)
Required:
Education/Experience:
Minimum 2 yr electrical or controls the degree
3 years of experience in a related position - Previous troubleshooting desired and a plus.
