Infoscitex is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support extensive high visibility Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) efforts.
As a member of our team, you will support aerospace technologies research in Dayton, OH, having opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state of the art simulation technologies, simulation integration experts, and military Subject Matter Experts (SME). This work focuses on conducting capability assessments for emerging aerospace technologies and ensuring related tools and methodologies are suitable for DoD Decision Support Systems.
Essential job functions:
As this Electrical Engineer/Software Developer, you could expect to:
Collaborate with study lead to understand study requirements and identify relevant tasking.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, such as pilots and technologists, to identify requirements for system implementation in models and simulations.
Coordinate with team members to contribute to execution of analysis of studies, analyze results, and prepare and present study findings.
Apply your domain knowledge to develop effects-based representations of Electronic Warfare techniques as applied to military operations and develop those representations into software models for AFSIM and other simulation environments
Develop simulation software, using C++ and/or Java, including mathematical and physics based algorithms.
Participate within a software development team to design, develop, test, and deploy assigned modeling and simulation software.
Apply software best practices (software development processes, version control, automated testing, documentation, etc.) for all developed and modified software.
Develop automated tests and documentation for the software products that our team produces
Ongoing development of effects-based representations of aerospace vehicles, weapon systems, sensors (including tracking and fusion capabilities), Electronic Warfare (EW) techniques, cyber effects, and communication systems.
Apply MS&A best practices for all analysis efforts.
Some intermittent short term travel may be requested.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; and at least 2 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience may be considered for alternative classification.)
Experience developing object-oriented software using programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
Ability to work well in team oriented environments.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible to attain a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.
Ability to contribute expertise to modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) projects.
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
Ability to work well in team environments.
Ability to travel, if needed.
An ideal candidate may bring the following attributes, although these are not firm requirements for consideration:
Active U.S. DOD security clearance.
Knowledge and experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments (constructive and virtual) and/or Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) concepts.
Background in probability or statistics.
Familiarity with modern military electronic warfare techniques and systems, both foreign and domestic.
Experience with AFSIM.
