Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Aerotek is hiring for an Electrical Engineer for an innovative company in the Quad Cities area!

The role:
- Use computer aided drafting software to generate electrical control and system drawings for customer approval
- Create modified or custom designs, interface circuitry, and PLC software of moderate complexity to satisfy customer requirements.
- Perform and document power calculations required for modified or customs designs and complete drawings used by manufacturing and construction personnel to build, assemble and wire electrical components and control systems.
- Generate job-specific BOM lisitngs.
- Assist Sr. Chief Electrical Engineer, designers and drafters with design modification as required.
- Provide compatibility checks to ensure that components will interface correctly with building electrical systems.
- Plan and design electrical control products/systems, electro-mechanical devices and other control related equipment and building electrical system interface components
- This position requires working in a team environment to develop quality configuration solutions to fill customer orders.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or a Bachelor of Science with similar Engineering education preferred. Personnel with an equivalent combination of education and previous work experience will be considered.
- 3+ years related work experience

- Ability to develop and modify programs in C/C++ and Assembly computer languages.
- Working knowledge of computer-aided drafting and personal computer based systems.
- System and embedded system design experience along with distributed network architecture fundamental knowledge.
- Familiarity with A/B CompactLogix or similar PLC based control systems and software development programming.
- Capability to understand and update wiring diagrams.
