Infoscitex (IST), a DCS company, has an outstanding opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to assist in the development, assembly, and documentation of an R&D test laboratory. You will be involved with an altitude simulation environment related to avionic oxygen systems research, testing, and development.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline and some related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with advanced degrees or varied levels of experience may be considered for alternative classification.)
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: ability to attain a Secret level clearance.
Solid foundational knowledge of electrical and electronic theory.
Fundamental computer programming capabilities with technologies such as C, C++, Python, and GUI’s.
Ability to work well as a team member.
Ability to read, understand, and implement information documented on an electronic schematic or an electrical ladder diagram.
Some experience with sensors and an understanding of their performance parameters such as their characteristic slope and offset.
Familiarity with the proper and safe operation of electronic test equipment such as DVM’s, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
Electrically safety minded.
Ability to neatly solder when required.
Ability to safely use small hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, diagonal cutters, needle nose pliers
Experience with standard Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Microprocessor / Microcontroller experience.
Metrology and Calibration activity experience.
Experience preparing D38999 Mil-spec Crimp Connectors
