1. Entering verification phase and we'll have lots of testing and drawing updates to do.

As a key team member within the Infusion Systems Hardware Engineering team, you are responsible for creating and implementing innovative mechanical design solutions for Client's infusion pumps to address customer needs.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
o B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and at least four years of experience in the design, development and testing of mechanical devices. Experience with electromechanical and/or medical devices is preferred
o Experience in design of components produced by injection molding, machining, and stamping processes.
o Experience developing 3D models and drawings using Solidworks, Pro/Engineer (Creo) or equivalent.
o Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
o Design and develop mechanical assemblies, mechanisms and component parts for company developed and manufactured medical devices.
o Identify creative solutions to complex mechanical problems and define and execute plans to rapidly assess and optimize designs.
o Use appropriate analytical methods to assess designs such as tolerance analysis, finite element analysis, and other common mechanical engineering methods.
o Operate mostly independently, with latitude for independent judgment with some supervision while providing high quality output.
o Develop relevant machine tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauge and equipment used in device manufacturing and test processes.
o Review and designs and drawings against: general standards, design requirements, geometric tolerances, drafting practices and the applicable manufacturing process.
o Develop statistically valid tests to verify designs meet product requirements.
o Generate design and test documentation that meets company, FDA, and ISO requirements.
o Execute test in a controlled testing environment using Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
o Define drawings that meet ANSI drawing standards, including Y14.5 GDandT
o Perform other related product design and development duties as assigned by supervisor.
o Collaborate effectively with electrical and software engineers
