Engineering Project Lead
This is an opportunity to join a fast paced program with DCS Corp’s U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Ground Vehicle Systems Center engineering group located in Warren, MI. As an Engineering Project Lead, you will be responsible for the project management support, control, cost, schedule, performance and coordination of program activities. Further, you will be looked upon to further improve processes yielding improved quality and efficiency.
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as an Engineering Project Lead responsible for the management, control, cost, schedule, performance and coordination of survivability programs. This includes acting as a Liaison between the Technology Manager and the Program Management customers to identify requirements, support planning initiatives, track and manage existing issues and report project status briefings. This also includes supporting configuration management, risk management, testing and integration activities.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar engineering degree plus 10 years of experienc
Experience as an Engineering Project Lead in a managed and controlled engineering environment on a complex embedded engineering project.
Experience developing and managing Project Plans, schedules, cost measures, risks, etc.
5+ years’ project management experience
Familiar with Systems Engineering and Software Engineering processes and the instantiation of the full life-cycles within these engineering disciplines (including integration and release).
Familiar with complex, interconnected systems
Familiar with Configuration Management, Verification, Integration and Release Management.
Ability to communicate clearly in both written and oral form, take initiative and work in a fast paced environment.
Experience in the Defense industry
Experience in continuous improvement
Production or sustainment experience
