Location: Marion, NC Description: Engineering Project Manager
Shift: mostly 1st shift, but needs to be flexible
Leading and supporting multiple capital projects of various sizes.
Effectively operate in and may facilitate cross-functional teams.
Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications.
Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.
Maintain quality and safety standards.
Able to work flexible hours as needed to support manufacturing activities.
Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions.
Analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements. Education and Experience
Bachelor Science in Chemical Engineering, 8-10 year of overall engineering background and 5 years project management experience.
Strong fundamental knowledge of large-scale batch processing.
Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in team environments.
Display a solid understanding core principle in various engineering disciplines (fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics etc.).
Technical proficiency with process instrumentation, PandIDs, valve selection, and general processing equipment.
Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.
Proven track record of leading and supporting large capital projects.
Experience in a pharmaceutical or chemical environment writing and reviewing validation and change control documentation.
Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in high output environment.
Must possess knowledge of CIP systems, WFI, and batch process design.
Microsoft software suite; MS Project; AutoCAD; Revit (nice to have)
Physical Requirements (Large manufacturing site)
Requires continuous grasping, pushing/pulling up to 15 pounds and reaching with hands and arms.
Lifting and carrying on average up to 15 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
Must be able to squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, kneel, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance
Interview platform: phone followed by onsite interview (Skype might be entertained but is not preferred by the manager)
Local candidates preferred, open to non-local candidates but prefer candidates that can interview onsite for the final round.
