Enterprise Architect - Perm

Job Description

The Enterprise Architect has the following key accountabilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for developing and managing enterprise architecture initiatives, strategies and roadmaps.
  • Maintains a high-level, holistic vision of enterprise solutions and development initiatives.
  • Understands and communicates Strategic Themes and other key business drivers for architecture to technical architects and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Analyzes and maintains knowledge in technologies, application methodologies and frameworks, system integration methodologies, industry and market trends and determines their potential impact on the business.
  • Performs as a strategic leader to guide the vision and execution of operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Responsible to manage operational aspects of any systems under Enterprise Architecture.
  • Advocates effective architectural designs and optimizes current architecture and processes. Promotes appropriate use of and adherence to reference architectures.
  • Extensive knowledge of analysis and design of technology solutions and the relationships between multiple systems/support processes.
  • Ability to develop, evaluate and present multiple solution approaches to meet business requirements and strategies.
  • Collaborate with other technology domains (Business. Product, Development, Infrastructure, Security and Support) and provide architecture guidance and governance.
  • Conduct/Participate in POC/POV for Enterprise Architecture team and make recommendations.
  • Responsible for the management of architecture artifacts (Design models, Specifications, Processes and policies).
  • Lead and manage key enterprise architecture initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate vendor sessions/workshops and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.

Below is the percentage of time this resource is expected to spend on each category:

  • Design & Implementation – 35%
  • Research and Development – 25%
  • Support and Operations – 15%

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Education: Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline.
  • Prior Work Experience: 12 years of overall IT experience with expertise in architecture, defining strategies, developing roadmaps and technology direction.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand business vision, develop technology strategy to deliver systems/solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
  • Excellent communicator; strong interpersonal skills; ability to motivate employees/teams to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems; excellent teamwork skills.
