Entry Level IT Inventory Technician

Job Description

We are currently looking for a DIRECT HIRE entry level IT Inventory Technician.  This is the perfect role to grow your IT experience! Under the direct supervision of the Technical Engagement Manager, the Inventory Technician is responsible for the accurate accounting of inventory including overseeing asset management, organizing storage areas, restocking inventory, tracking, cycle counting and deployment of inventory items. Role is responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of parts and supplies. Duties include management of inventory as it relates to picking products, replenishing, requisitioning, shipping and managing client expectations to ensure high quality of service to the specific SLA/KPI metrics. Responsible for pulling products for cases as assigned. Inventory technician assures that supply areas are organized, maintained, and par levels are optimized to support demands. Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

45% Inventory Control

  • Assists in receipt and tracks storage of inventory items
  • Perform physical inventory of assets and peripherals
  • Check and verify shipments for accuracy and condition
  • Assist in the preparation of end of life and e-waste inventory disposition
  • Re-stock and cycle count IT storage locations
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, review, analyze inventory discrepancies and provide recommendations for resolution/implementation
  • Fulfill ticket requests within a timely manner
  • Notify appropriate parties when inventory items need to be ordered according to specific threshold and minimum re-order points.

35% Asset Management & Reports

  • Maintain and prepare detailed records and files via spreadsheets and customer approved software
  • Assists in maintenance and update of asset mgmt. database system
  • Assist in recommendations for process improvements

15% Customer Service

  • Interface with department teams to fulfill tickets in accordance with target timelines
  • Provide excellent customer service to all requesters
  • Professional interaction with clients executives, suppliers, contractors and a wide range of functional groups
