1. 5+ Years of OSP Construction Experience (Telecommunications/Fiber Preferred. Not limited to: New Builds, NodeSplits, Relocations, MDU, Cell Towers, etc)
2. Experience performing QA/QC of vendors fiber builds (Familiarity with NESC Standards).
3. Experience performing documentation as it pertains to close out and/or vendor rankings (Fulcrum preferred).
Our client is looking for a few resources to perform QC (Quality Control) work for their Fiber Optics and HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax) OSP (Outside Plant) Construction wok in the Beltway Region.
Right now our client has various construction initiatives not limited to Metro E (Point to point enterprise/commercial fiber services), Fiberdeep, N+0, Nodesplits, etc. They are utilizing multiple different Business Partners/Vendors to complete this OSP work. Our client is now assembling an experienced team that can QC the vendors work upon completion, and perform documentation on a collaborative platform to raise awareness and produce more accurate finish dates.
They need to be familiar with NESC code for underground and aerial, such as depth of conduit by regulations and distance between power and TELCO lines by regulations.
This resource will be provided a laptop and/or tablet as the majority of the time (95%) will be taken from the road. They will perform documentation and upload pictures/close out packages into Fulcrum.
This will be aerial and ground fiber, for aerial they will use binoculars to QC, no going in the air. Experience with OTDR is nice to have.
On the road all day in the Beltway Region, centralized to certain areas such Baltimore, Richmond, NOVA, etc. In the beginning they may be traveling more until other resources are hired for those markets.
Virtual communication with internal managers and ton of vendor interaction. Need to be self-sufficient.
