Field / Refresh Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Field Technician
Work Location: Princeton , NJ
Duration: Long-term contract

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Long term Windows 10 migration from various 7 and 8 machines.
  • Must have experience re-imaging and configuring Windows 10 and working through migrations previously.
  • Standard break/fix and troubleshooting will be requisite as all machines are brought up to corporate standards.
  • Team player that is able to identify problems and work independently.
  • A+ or other comparable certification strongly desired.
  • Must be US Citizen due to federal government requirements, extensive background will be issued by law via US Government contracts.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • Strong trouble shooting skills with Windows 7/8/10, Microsoft Office Suite 2013, 2016, and Microsoft Active Directory • Working knowledge of IP based Networks and Telephony • Experience working in Mac OS X environment • Windows Servers 2008r2/2012 experience • Office 365 experience a must  • Infrastructure Cabling and Wiring Cat5/Cat6 knowledge • Strong knowledge with HP Printers/Scanners • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.  • Computer hardware knowledge (laptops, desktops, servers) • Eagerness to learn new systems and skills  • Display leadership aptitude and ability to work well with others • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with staff, and to interact across all levels the organization • Good organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion • Strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative to apply knowledge and deliver solutions • Local travel to remote site occasionally required; ability to work some nights and weekend required system maintenance and upgrades • VoIP Phone troubleshooting experience is preferred
EDUCATION & TRAINING • AAS/AS/BS degree preferred EXPERIENCE • 2+ years of IT Help Desk experience strongly preferred LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS • None
