Job Title : Frame/Components Chassis Design Engineer

Job Location : Novi, MI

Job Duration : Long Term

Experience : 3-5 years or more in commercial truck chassis design experience

Description:

Products: Frames- side rail, cross-member and frame hanging parts
Products: Wheel & Tire, Foundation Brakes, Steering System and related components

Job Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform all engineering activities with engineering’s support for new class 7-8 truck development program. It includes

• Market study & benchmarking

• Product spec. study and performance/cost/weight target draft

• Development gateway management

• Lead & manage design engineering outsource

• Concept design to final design and design review with DRBFM

• Prototype build support and DVP&R

Work as part of a team consisting of approximately 2-5 team members as well as outsourced engineering resources at various levels and experience

Ensure high quality engineering deliverables for a major model program, starting at program planning stage, thru start of production (SOP)

Assure program deliverables are on time and maintain high quality

Report to the Chassis Design Lead as well as the Program Manager
