Job Description

Help Desk Support Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Help Desk Support for an opportunity in the Chicago, IL area. The Help Desk Support consultant will handle inbound and outbound call phone support. This role is for entry level (0-3 years of experience) and offer opportunity for advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first call resolution technical support to all customer calls regardless of product or complexity of the problem
  • Deliver professional and top quality customer service to all customers
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve calls that are focused on product functionality, connectivity, and product failure for software products
  • Demonstrate working knowledge in areas such as Operating Systems, Software Utilization, MS Windows, Novell, Networking, Wireless Networks, Remote Access Software and Web Based applications
  • Clearly and effectively communicate issues
  • Effectively and accurately document all customer interactions in CRM system
  • Demonstrate teamwork through sharing knowledge, brainstorming complex customer issues with colleagues and proactively sharing common issue resolutions throughout the department and across locations

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Computer Science/ Information Technology degree or equivalent preferred
  • Relevant industry certifications preferred or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • 0-2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment
  • 0-2 years of help desk or technical support experience preferred
  • Nice to have: Working knowledge or practical experience supporting: .net, ASP, JAVA, HTML, VB, IIS, SQL, Web Browsers, Web Based/Portal Applications and Various Reporting/Data Warehouse Routines
