IT Asset Manager

Oshkosh, WI/ Remote

Summary

The IT Asset Manager is responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. The IT Asset Manager will also develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their life cycles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Design and execute asset management policies, procedures and processes.
  • Coordinate with management in utilizing the asset management tools to analyze, review and track asset data.
  • Develop asset control processes to monitor accountability identification, maintenance, location and contracts.
  • Manage asset reconciliation and lease agreements.
  • Educate team members about company policies.
  • Assist in inventory management and procurement activities.
  • Support contract negotiation, contract renewals and vendor management activities.
  • Monitor software licenses to ensure they comply with license agreements and usage standards.
  • Collaborate with management to define cost savings, asset compliances and service improvements.
  • Facilitate audit compliance for IT assets.
  • Guide IT asset analysts in the daily administration of asset management activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Three (3) to six (6)or more years of experience in Information Technology or Finance/Accounting or related experience.
  • Ability to interact with company personnel, builds strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understands business imperatives.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of technical expertise, staying abreast of new technologies and practices.
  • Strong understanding of the business impact of IT tools, technologies and policies.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the IT organization, management and business personnel.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate degree in Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, Management or equivalent.
  • Relevant industry recognized certifications (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, specific functional area certifications as required).
