Title: IT Business Analyst
Type: Direct Placement
The IT Business Analyst will work closely with Radiology Practices and Facilities, as well as vendors, across our national practice as well as IT technical teams. Position is responsible for scoping the integration of new practices with RP core systems or evaluating proposed solutions for integrating with existing application and technology platforms. This involves coordinating between business users and IT teams to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way. The objective is to drive business planning. Excellent communication skills, organization and a general knowledge of the healthcare and Radiology technical workflow, as well as budgeting and finance principals will be necessary to be successful in this position. Position will report to the Director of IT Project Governance but will work closely with the other IT Services Lanes and Operations.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with requesters of IT projects to identify funding, determine scope, sponsorship, necessary resources, budget source, cost plans, dependencies, risks and impacts.
Collaborate with IT teams, Security, and the Architecture Review Board for compatibility, design and performance goals, redundancy requirements, scalability, supportability based on industry standards and best practices.
Draft demand-stage business requirements defining features, functional specifications and post go-live support modeling
Consult with stakeholders and IT teams to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of process, systems and industry standards
Act as advisor or coach to team members not familiar with the process and act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
Map business processes and write standard operating procedures
Develop summary and detail reports
Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for transparency and the integrity of the practice by driving compliance with system security, applicable rules and regulations, policy and sound ethical judgement
Desired Professional Skills and Experience
Bachelors Degree preferred
IIBA certification preferred
5+ combined IT and healthcare experience
Business analysis and/or project management experience preferred
Experience integrating or supporting PACS, RIS, DICOM or HL7 interface engines, Voice Rec and Worklist Management systems desired
Communication skills, written and verbal good grammar, punctuation, business writing, presentation and facilitation skills
Good at creating charts and visual aids to relate information in a concise manner
Experience using ServiceNow PPM on New York or higher preferred
Advanced level skills in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong work ethic with ability to self-start and work independently or as part of a diverse team
Detail oriented and organized
Fast learner that is adaptable to new technologies and applications
Must be technical enough to elicit precise information from technical teams and fluent enough to relate it to non-technical teams
