Position: Infrastructure Administrator

Support, extend, and improve the efficiency and security of the credit union’s technology infrastructure as required by regulatory standards and agencies through the use of internal staff and external vendors in support of the approved organizational mission.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements in addition to all state and federal laws, regulations, including Regulation CC, the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Educate members on various credit unions policies, procedures and related laws and regulations where applicable.
Maintain, upgrade, and extend all computer hardware, software, system tools and peripherals to include (but not limited to) servers, routers, switches, appliances, biometric devices, signature pads, scanners, printers, voice & video systems, and other electronic devices and all related network communication devices and systems used for back-end and end-point user devices (e.g. laptops, desktops, tablets, teller workstations, etc.).
Maintain inventories of all equipment, licenses, support contracts, and related systems.
Maintain and optimize the credit unions network performance and security between all credit union locations and approved vendor and banking system environments. Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve, and apply continuous improvement to all IT incidents and ticketed events.
Apply industry standard testing & migration/promotion approaches for all applications, systems, and environments within the credit unions environment.
Maintain and optimize all backup procedures and environment failover and fallback systems consistent with the credit unions continuity and resilience program.
Maintain, extend, and create (as needed) system and environment documentation for the credit union and related/connected environments.
Coordinate with and optimize internal and external resources necessary to execute assigned duties/responsibilities as directed and prioritized by credit union management and ensure quality of service, timeliness, and security of the credit unions environment.
Comply with (and recommend/apply appropriate continuous improvement to) all policies and procedures related to the credit unions computing environment, and IT procedures related to (but not limited to) patch management, change management, licensing, registration, service contracts, warranties, and upgrades/migrations for all systems, platforms, and devices.
Keep abreast of new technologies, new techniques, state-of-the-art hardware and software developments. Evaluate technology proposals, agreements, and provide recommendations to management on vendors, bids, outsourcing. Evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance the efficiency and security of the credit unions environments.
Work with internal team and external vendors to properly advise credit union business teams and management on proper implementation of systems and network within security and regulatory constraints. Work with management to identify costs associated with the proposal and implementation of all recommended systems and environment modifications.
Maintain current knowledge of the overall credit union environment (applications, network, and data) to properly evaluate and advise on security and continuous improvement of the overall environment.
Work with vendors and partners to support the systems during designated operational hours and support hours as defined by credit union. Be “on call” for all periods designated by management.
Assist Information Technology staff, provide support to team members and vendors as needed.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Extended sitting up to 70% of the time.
Lifting up to 50 pounds may be occasionally required.
Bending and reaching above and below shoulder level may be frequently required.
Sound perception/discrimination is frequently required.
Occasional travel and irregular hours as required.
Must be bondable.
Education, Training, & Experiences:
Associates degree is required or 5 years experience in network support and design.
Experience with VMWare required. Experience with VMWare’s NSX a plus.
Experience with switch & router management preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 preferred.
Network or security certifications such as CCNA, or CCNP, or CCISP a plus.
Prior experience in financial services or other regulated industries, specifically credit unions a plus.
