IT Project Manager

Job Description

This Senior Project Manager will manage Data Warehouse that meets both the functional and business requirements. This is an integral component of the company strategy, which is to reduce operational and capital expenditures. Therefore, leveraging industry best practices as well as emerging Information Technology standards, and enhanced workflow process improvements to support the long-term success of the enterprise. This resource will be responsible for working alongside the technical leads to work through high level projects in the Data Warehousing groups to deliver reporting to the Business Intelligence group.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

  • Have a concentrated focus on the business, applications, projects and processes for your group. Have 5+ years of experience managing projects touching Teradata, Netezza, Oracle and on the ETL side Informatica 

  • Contribute and concentrate on the creation of a system of support and enhanced procedures which will bring value to the management team and service delivery.

  • Continue to create project controls and procedures thereby creating more synergies and overall effectiveness in projects and operations support execution. 

  • Identify key team metrics for valued management reporting which reflect team health and wellness

  • Standardization of policies and procedures across organization to ensure uniformity of product and services delivery.

  • Create a departmental project convergence calendar to identify opportunities for streamline and provide transparency into cross-departmental impacts. 

  • Oversees critical initiatives by coordinating resources and timetables involving complex implementations and various points of integration.

  • Assists in the recommendation of information technology strategies, policies and procedure by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends and anticipating critical requirements.

  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. 

  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.

  • Oversees key initiatives by coordinating resources and timetables involving departmental impacts

  • Assists in the recommendation of information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time (Multitasking)
  • Ability to stay focused while preforming several steps or processes simultaneously
  • Drive design sessions to specify solution designs for feasibility, cost, and functionality
  • Ability to fully communicate at many different levels of technical abilities
  • Create detailed documentation to functionally understand new and existing applications
  • Ability to follow and implement established change and control policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform application troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of development tools, application frameworks, and testing tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSS applications and software
  • Knowledge of choosing the appropriate lifecycle and the planning, monitoring and control of the systems engineering process                                                                          
  • Knowledge of the company products and services
  • Knowledge and experience of the ITIL process and procedures
