Information Technology Specialist (JO# 58827)

Salary Range:  $51,853.62 - $78,221.00

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of 60 semester credits to include 15 semester credits in Computer Science, Cartography, Geography or related field.  Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

 

This is an analytical position within the Information Technology Department (ITD).  This position entails the development, support, and maintenance of custom applications in support of the Water and Sewer Department’s (WASD) business functions. Specifically, this position will address the needs of the new business, customer service, operations, maintenance, management decision making, communications, and collaboration functions for WASD.

Job Requirements

The job entails varied aspects such as user-requirement gathering, developing technical specifications, integration development, modifying configuration, deploying code across multiple environments, testing, providing demos, developing dashboards, reports, and queries, collaborating with users, vendors, analysts, data center staff and other stakeholders; conducting research, performing analysis, preparing documentation and oral and written communications on a regular basis. The position may be assigned to a variety of subject matter areas during the implementation of various projects. This position will work closely with senior technical staff in distinct areas as well as analyze and document existing business processes and requirements.

 

Experience with the following is preferred:

 

  Visual Studio Development (.NET Core, Angular, React, Bootstrap, JavaScript, C#, VB.Net, etc.)

  BI & Analytics development experience (Microsoft Power BI or Pyramid Analytics)

  SQL development tools

  Relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, etc.

  Application Programming Interfaces (API) and Web Services (SOAP, XML, JSON, RESTful, etc.)

  Microsoft SharePoint Development
