Infrastructure Technology Manager
Top Skills Details:1. Architecting in Linux, but get be very hands on / technical with it to fix them problems themselves
2. 5+ years' experience management and hands on with VMware (and some of that experience with vsphere)
3. Manage switch configuration (Aruba) - question can ask candidates is 'what is a clear pass?' 'why would you use that?
To manage technical infrastructure of the environment. Will be managing the IT systems and network both for the warehouse and development environment. Management will include: evaluating current state, identifying gaps or needs, researching and recommending new technologies, troubleshooting issues, deployment of new versions and updates and managing devops and infrastructure team.
Not just manager and coordinator, but technical skills to solve the problems themselves. This candidate must know a lot of Linux and be very hands on with the system. Knows about application engineering, architecting the environment the developers develop in and writing scripts, recommending technologies (this environments has developers that build from scratch, understands what that means for the infrastructure). Don't have to know how to develop applications, there are plenty of team members to work with, but need to understand implications of app development in the environment
There will be a lot of executive and customer interaction. Needs to have the communication, presentation skills and prior experience.
