Essential Job Functions:
Provide systems and software engineering support as an SME to the Government team performing software development, systems integration planning, software integration and test.
Assist in developing the Government's plans for software (including databases) design, development, sustainment and system maintenance.
Primary focus is on Web Design/Programming and supporting databases.
Customer interactions include working directly with customers in broad areas of project execution from requirements gathering to product reviews/demonstrations.
Work side-by-side with government developers as part of an IPT.
Analyze, design and develops computer software required to support numeric analysis products. Perform systems modeling and analysis. Develop and review system architecture, and implement appropriate development and support tools to ensure product performance.
Perform the development elements according to more detailed requirements provided with each individual task. Software applications can include and are not limited to high fidelity models as well as database web and mobile application development.
Support the development of the software architecture, development of the user interface, support the development of the application code, development of the detailed documentation of the development process, code architecture, code structure, and user’s manuals.
Comply with, document, and implement Computer Engineering (CE) and technical processes for governance of program office technical efforts in support of customers.
Provide database expertise to support development, testing and improvements to Government databases.
Knowledge and experience in a number Key processes: e.g., Configuration Management, Requirements Development Management.
As required, provide support in reviewing CDRL deliveries and providing feedback to the program office along with recommendations to the Government on acceptance of the CDRL.
Participate in program meetings such as Integrated Project Team meetings, Technical Interchange Meetings, Integrated Baseline Management Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Schedule Risk Assessments, and Program Management Reviews.
Evaluate the documentation of system interfaces and identify potential discontinuities in interface descriptions.
Conduct trade studies as needed/directed.
Evaluate, define, analyze, and recommend strategies and emerging technologies to replace or augment existing systems and subsystems.
Participate in/evaluate/witness Software Test.
Participate in Software Maintenance and Software Sustainment planning and oversight.
RequirementsDue to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s degree (Software Engineering/Computer Scientist/Computer Information).
(3) Three to (5) Five years of experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Familiarity with MS SQL, C#, MS Visual Studio, MS TFS, .NET, and various web development languages (e.g., JAVA, JAVA script).
