Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). About this role:
This Lead Applications Developer is for .NET Core/JAVA within the Ground Transportation Systems. This position provides design and implementation guidance for the team and provides full system lifecycle management activities. He/She will lead the component and data architectural design, technology planning and testing activities for business initiatives within the area as well as, be responsible for development and support.
The Lead Applications Developer must possess strong communication skills both written and verbal as well as, have experience estimating work and communicating the detail in support of that estimate. He/She must have good interpersonal skills and work well within a team environment. He/She must be highly motivated and strive to stay current in technology, adhere to standards and focus on strategic direction for the organization.
- Advanced development experience with .NET and/or JAVA
- Advanced experience with Agile Development, Client Server Architecture, Data Analysis, Internet Development Architecture & Design and Web Development
- Advanced experience with Project management, Requirements Management and Attention to Detail
- Intermediate knowledge of Angular 2 and Couchbase
- Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
