Job Description

The Lead Business Process Engineer is responsible for consistently executing the business Process Management strategy across the team. The position will work with subject matter experts in identifying and executing process improvement projects that sustainability improve member and employee experiences while enhancing overall Group performance. This position requires leadership, change management and technical competence. The position will report to the Director, Business Process Engineering.

What does a Lead Business Process Engineer's workday look like?

  • Lead Process Improvement projects that deliver measurable business results and focus on deploying Lean transformations and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
  • Build commitment to business process management and improvement through a focus on effective process development, integrated project/change management and implementation.
  • Analyze and identify process improvement opportunities and partner with key stakeholders to scope and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Serve as a technical leader in the deployment of Business Process Engineering through the application of process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, LEAN, and basic problem solving). Trains, coaches, and mentors all employees, to include Green Belts.
  • Work with process improvement experts and other stakeholders to ensure projects achieve intended results, where risks are proactively identified and mitigated, and benefits are validated.
  • Provide expertise and share best practices regarding Process Improvement tools, methodologies, and team leadership.

What's Required for The Position

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years' professional business experience with 5+ years' process improvement work experience.
  • Strong, proven experience with leadership, business acumen, problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills in financial services.
  • Proven ability to influence and affect change at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid track record in leading and managing teams, to deliver results.
  • Minimum Black Belt certified or Lean equivalent certification
  • Experience with deploying aspects of large scale business transformation projects.Ideally, you have managed, lead and developed large scale project teams across large financial service institutions (banking, insurance, or finance) .

  • Highly seasoned and experienced LEAN leader/practitioner with a proven track record of end-to-end management of key strategic programs.
  • Master Black Belt certified
