Lead Cyber Security Architect - IT

Job Description

Grade:

Establish security architecture for assigned subject matter domain, including standards and frameworks that are aligned with overall business strategy to meet business needs and adhere to regulatory and internal requirements.  

  • Work closely with Security Engineering, Security Operations, Enterprise architecture, Infrastructure and IT operations teams. 
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of security standards including, but not limited to, network infrastructure, wireless and mobile infrastructure, operating systems, databases, applications, and emerging technologies. 
  • Understand current as well as emerging security threats. Identify security architecture capabilities and design security architecture patterns to mitigate threats.
  • Assess emerging technologies against security architecture to determine where they fill gaps, overlap with existing solutions or extend capabilities.
  • Serve as information security subject matter expert; provide advisory and consulting services as needed
  • Review existing and proposed architectures, identify security design gaps, and recommend changes or enhancements.
  • Participate in solution architecture design; lead security efforts assisting with the integration and initial implementation of solutions.
  • Achieve security architecture compliance on requirements, including: Sarbanes-Oxley, payment card industry standards and Gaming regulations.
  • Stay abreast of new security technologies and integrate into security architecture design when appropriate.
  • Experience with developing, applying and following Identity Management Processes and user life cycle processes.
  • Ability to write code in Java, VB.net, PowerShell, SQL Queries.
  • Designs and deploys an identity management systems and software environment that is highly available, scalable, and meets business needs.
  • Ability to lead a technical team by coaching and mentoring junior engineers, Analysts.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned. 

Required: 

  • At least seven 7 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, or Systems Design Architect with a demonstrated track record in the development and deployment to production of increasingly more complex solutions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and communication protocols.
  • Working knowledge of Architecture concepts and frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of systems integration.
  • Knowledge of secure design and implementation of the below technologies with concentration on at least one of the below:
    • Network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points)
    • Security Infrastructure (IPS, IDS, WAF, DMZ, SIEM, IR)
    • Operating systems (Windows, Unix)
    • Databases (MS SQL, Oracle)
    • N-tier application architecture
    • Identity and Access Management for desktop and cloud
    • Single Sign on using cloud based solutions
    • Active Directory, ADFS, ADLDS, Sailpoint, TPAM , Okta etc.
    • Some development and coding experience(JAVA, .NET, Powershell, Python)
  • Written and oral communication skills including interaction with business partners, vendors, and technical staff.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Previous experience in a similar resort setting.
