Job Summary:
The IT Manufacturing Solutions Architect will support manufacturing operations in the development and deployment of IT solutions and will play a lead role in implementing the Siemens Opcenter Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This role will work with Manufacturing and Quality to optimize manufacturing processes and systems to drive business process improvements, system automation, continuous improvement, and production support.
This role will report to the MES Global Program Leader and serves as an integral part of the Manufacturing, RDE, & Quality IT team.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Adheres to Integer's Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.- Engage in and facilitate stakeholder discussions to understand, analyze and document business requirements, business processes, and technical specifications (including system architecture documentation)
- Conduct solution assessments and/or design solutions to ensure that functional and technical specifications meet the identified business needs within the organization
- Configure, develop, and support applications used on the manufacturing floor
- Design and specify integrations between solutions collaborating with stakeholders and other IT teams
- Create / review test plans and scripts; Conduct / participate in testing the solution to ensure the solution meets functional and technical requirements
- Liaise with business users and support/resolve system issues
- Lead system maintenance (review application patch, document test plan, and execute test scripts)
- Participate in the process for collection of requirements and writing of validation documents
- Follow Integer standards for validation, project management and SDLC
- Participate in and contribute to status and planning meetings
- Effectively communicate status, issue escalations & resolutions, and other events as required to all levels of Manufacturing and IT
- Schedule and facilitate meetings, document action items, follow-up to drive resolution
- Create presentations to help communicate complex technical, organizational, and project concepts and status
- Research and advise on the best technologies to leverage and / or approach to take in developing a system architecture or upgrades to install
- Capacity to see the big picture, develop plans and architectures with a global mindset
- Ability to account for project challenges on constraints including, risk, time, resources, and scope
- Assist in the development of solutions roadmaps
- Design and deploy Siemens Opcenter MES system to replace paper based or manual systems including Device History Records
- Modify or build new configurations in the MES Solution to support continuous improvement to manufacturing processes
- Act as an Administrator for the MES system
Education & Experience:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems or business administration- Minimum Experience: 5 years applied experience in designing / implementing manufacturing and MES technologies, including automated data collection, visualization, quality and efficiency in manufacturing
- 3 years of applied experience in managing and implementing Opcenter MES, including Object Design, Purging, implementing ODS
- Experience in integration of MES with ERP, CMMS, SPC, and manufacturing equipment
- Opcenter upgrade experience is highly desired
- Experience in technical investigation, innovation and creating solution prototypes
- Experience working in medical device industry with understanding of FDA regulations governing computer system validation and operation in manufacturing is preferred
- Experience in SDLC and application solution development and deployment
- Experience in working with business stakeholders to understand business priorities and requirements
- Manage Opcenter MES systems documentation, prepare technical and user documentation, and conduct system training

- In-depth knowledge of Opcenter MES or an equivalent MES Solution
- Familiarity with industrial controls architecture and programming
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management or manufacturing processes, having the ability to implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the process
- Change management skills and ability to operate effectively in fast paced environment
- SDLC and Project Management skills; familiarity with basic PM and SDLC methodologies
- Able to work with cross-functional teams to drive and influence changes and improvements
- Excellent written, verbal, team and presentation skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
- Able to work in a team environment that includes other architects / analysts, developers, and QA team
- Ability to lead change and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals
