Job Description

We have an immediate need for Computational Scientists to join our growing bioinformatics team and work on cutting-edge projects that combine  statistical modeling, data science and  biomedical disciplines.  We have several openings for these roles.  These are direct hire, permanent jobs that offer full benefits, paid time off, retirement plans and annual bonus.  Visa sponsorship is available for all roles.  These jobs are in either Bar Harbor, Maine or Hartford, CT.  Relocation assistance is available for both locations. 

There are also opportunities for remote work.  


In these roles, you will be working  on various projects, also  authoring articles for publications, leading projects, and  working  in new and exciting areas of research. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with research faculty, information technology and team members from other departments on projects in desired areas such as: cancer biology, infectious diseases, immunology, biostatistics.  
  • Contribute to project results as part of a cross-functional team in a collaborative environment. 
  • Participate in drafting articles, presentations, manuscripts, etc.  

Job Requirements

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biostatistics, Physics, Electrical Communication Engineering or a similar discipline.  
  • Strong quantitative background with experience in data analytics, data science, statistical analysis, etc is a plus.  
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: single cell biology, machine learning, statistical modeling, computational immunology and computational cancer biology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Successful candidates will be able to make presentations at conferences, workshops, scholarly meetings, etc.  
  • We are looking for candidates who want  to  grow their experience, learn new technologies and expand their areas of expertise.
