Machine Learning Software Engineer
New Brunswick NJ
12+ months Contract
1) Python (3+ years)
2) Deep Learning with PyTorch and/or Tensorflow (1+ years)
3) Training and evaluating NLP / NLU / Computational Linguistics models (1+ years)
Preferred:
4) Experience with AWS Lambda, SageMaker, S3, ECR, Step Functions, and/or CloudFormation (1+ years)
5) Experience training and evaluating transformer-based language models (1+ years)
- Design and implement cutting edge machine learning solutions to solve problems in the realm of knowledge management, structured information extraction, search, computer vision
- Collate, wrangle, and label data to create datasets suitable for machine learning model development and evaluation
- Use your knowledge and experience to identify the right approach in using machine learning to solve real-world use cases
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and ADTL leadership team to operationalize AI assets
- Work with a variety of technology stacks, including AWS cloud, to train and deploy models
- Show creativity and curiosity to build proof of concepts across ecosystem
- Bring your curiosity, passion to deliver, and entrepreneurial spirit to help derive value from AI in the difficult, competitive, and exciting industry of biopharma
- Educate others, both technical and non-technical, about your approaches in the form of presentations, written communications, and conversations
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science or similar (Engineering, Math, Physics) or equivalent software development experience
- 3+ years of experience coding with Python
- 1+ years of experience applying deep learning techniques using pytorch or tensorflow
- Experience with managed AI services and/or APIs
- Familiarity with training and evaluating modern computer vision, computational linguistic and/or transformer-based natural language processing (NLP) models
- Passionate and self-motivated
- Ability and motivation to self-teach when encountering new domains and challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS, eg., Lambda, SageMaker, S3, ECR, Step Functions, and/or CloudFormation
- Strong software design and implementation skills
