Maintenance Technician IV
Bothell, WA
  • The Maintenance Technician IV will be responsible for performing advanced installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation/logs, Lyophilizers, Autoclaves, Depyrogenation ovens, glass washers, cold storage units, RODI water, and a wide variety of GMP utility and facility equipment used in manufacturing, utilities, analytical labs, and office areas.
Responsibilities include:
  • Developing, writing and completing various quality systems and GMP documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Orders (WO), work plans, etc.
  • May be responsible for various aspects of building, lab, utility and production systems/equipment
  • All work must be completed in a safe timely manner according to planning and predefined schedules with minimal impact to production while complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SOP, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Seattle Genetics regulations
  • This role interacts with peers and clients in manufacturing, maintenance, utility plants, analytical labs and contracted services
  • Provide training for staff, clients and projects
  • Reviews and technically approves maintenance reports, forms, plans and records
  • Develops, revises, and reviews equipment, maintenance or other related procedures
  • Interpret and revise loops sheets, electrical schematics, P&ID's, I/O wiring and panel drawings
  • Participate in On-Call rotation for after hours facility support and may work outside of established shift hours upon short notice
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associates degree and 4 years of maintenance experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experienced in Refrigeration equipment, lab equipment, Autoclaves, Depyrogenation ovens, glass washers, DI water systems
  • Experience in building maintenance, mechanical maintenance, plant engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience in an FDA regulated environment (GMP)
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic fundamentals as well as skills in the use of power and hand tools in the building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical
  • Ability to perform general labor duties as needed and may be asked to work in various physical locations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Competence with mathematics, excellent reading skills along with intermediate to advanced computer and typing skills
