General Description of Position:

As a Professional Services Manager, you will be overseeing the successful delivery of Hargray’s Managed Service engagements for our core practice areas. You will have the opportunity to work closely with many functions of our team including members of our helpdesk, network admins, system engineers, and business development team members, and vendors to ensure the health of the client’s infrastructure and system environments.

You will be crucial in ensuring client deliverables are being managed effectively as you demonstrate your influence within hands-on project management, client management, best-practice delivery, leadership and ensuring an overall high level of customer engagement is maintained. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of our managed service’s client environments.
  • Ensure the health of the client’s environments to minimize client exposure and risk.
  • Resolve and/or escalate incidents and problems in a timely fashion
  • Manage day-to-day client interaction while developing lasting relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Create/execute work plans, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs/requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Build a knowledge base of each client's business, organization, and objectives.
  • Effectively apply our methodology and enforce operational readiness standards.
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Facilitate scheduled client meetings effectively.
  • Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and practices for potential application in client’s IT environments.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and manage the process of innovative change.
  • Work with business development to validate service SOWs/support contracts.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications:
  • College degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience as stated below.
  • 10 or more years’ experience with the installation, configuration, and support of PC’s, servers and peripheral equipment
  • 10 years of management experience
  • 7 or more years’ in an IT environment.
  • Ability to expand the service portfolio with cloud-based technologies
  • Ability to manage vendors
  • Drive operating efficiencies across all lines of business
  • Leverage technology to automate tasks for onboarding customers
  • P/L responsivity and finance savvy – understand GM, COS, REV and EBITDA
  • Ability to multi-task and think independently.
  • Record of accomplishment of rolling out support systems and processes for a 24x7x365 business
  • Experience managing operations including activities such as recruiting, coaching, and performance management
  • Understanding of security best practices related to information protection, security monitoring, risk management, and endpoint/network threat protection.
  • Experience as a technology implementer in areas such as networking, cloud, datacenter, helpdesk and/or security
  • Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, presentation, human relations, and organization skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of all customer support areas.
  • Experience with technical project delivery in one or more of the following technology platforms:
  • Microsoft Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions
    • Active Directory & Exchange
    • SharePoint
  • Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Platforms
    • Systems Center
    • Windows Desktop
    • App-V
  • Data Center Virtualization Platforms
    • VMware, Hyper-V
  • Data Center Storage & Management Platforms
    • Data Storage Technologies (i.e. NetApp, EMC, etc.)
    • Data Backup & Recovery (i.e. CommVault, etc.)
  • Enterprise Data networking
    • Unified Computing (i.e. Cisco US)
    • Data Network (i.e. Cisco LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, etc.)
    • Voice Over IP and Desktop Video (i.e. Cisco Unified Communications, Microsoft Lync)
  • Enterprise Voice Services
    • Voice Over IP and Desktop Video (i.e. Cisco Unified Communications, Microsoft Lync)
