- Ensures plant processes are properly documented from work instructions through completion of drawings
- Works to continuously improve processes by using Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma tools
- Ensures Product Structures are correct
- Ensures assembly times are monitored and documented, and related issues tracked, to provide input on needed improvements
Prepares and revises Bills of Materials (ProductStructures), drawings and work instructions for Manufacturing while interactingwith hourly employees and office personnel.
Workson special projects including equipment justification, sales equipmentredesign/new design and shop efficiency improvements. Conducts feasibilitystudies, determines manpower and cost estimates, and develops engineeringcriteria. Performs analyses to develop design options or recommendations forstructures, systems and components.
Supports Lean Initiatives throughout the plant,identifies potential areas for improvement. Working cross functionally withother team members, has primary responsibility for process design andmodifications. Continuously improving the work flow and procedures in the assembly ofequipment.
Researches, sources, and documents proposals fornew equipment and manufacturing methods. Implements solutions when approved.
Performs role on Safety Incident InvestigationTeams, as needed. Conducts safetyinspections and tasks as required. Creating Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

Under moderate supervision,the Manufacturing Engineer II provides day to day support to production onManufacturing Engineering related matters to ensure availability for assemblyprocesses & equipment to collaborate on Production's metrics & goalachievement, meeting the applicable Safety, Quality, Health & Environmentaland Human Resources policies and procedures.
Reporting directly to the Director Operation Excellence,this position is based in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Essential Job Functions:
Bachelor's Degree in the engineering fieldrequired.
A minimum of 2 years experience required.
Experience with Autodesk 2015 2D and 3D;exposure/certified in LEAN manufacturing and/or Six Sigma. Microsoft officeapplications used frequently.
Good interpersonal skills to influence teammembers.
Mainly plant setting with some office settingwork. Requires routine mobility throughout the facility.
May be required to work off-schedule hours tomeet goals and objectives.
Must be able to operate plant material handlingequipment.
May be required to travel up to 5% of the time.
