Duties of the Manufacturing Engineer include:

  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager, support plant manufacturing efforts by using Lean principles to reduce costs, improve scrap rates, increase productivity, and improve process and product quality
  • Assist in the selection of tooling and upgrades to capital equipment and machinery
  • Develop plant floor layouts for existing and future processes
  • Work with the New Product Development team to assist in launch activities
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level engineers and interns


Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineer include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field
  • Previous experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer in a production environment
  • Use of fundamental Lean concepts, including, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and DMAIC
  • The ability to work additional hours during product launch periods
  • The willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed
  • Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and TPM
