Master Scheduler

Job Description

This company is the leading manufacturer of vending machines and display cases for the food and beverage industry and is seeking a Master Scheduler to join their team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop methods to optimize inventory control procedures through analysis of existing ERP systems.
  • Analyze the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages or surplus
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
  • Reconcile inventory of daily deliveries and shipments to insure accuracy of inventory levels
  • Use IQMS to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
  • Monitor the placement of orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • Analyze data to anticipate future needs
  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
  • Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with IQMS or similar ERP system required.
  • Proven experience as inventory control manager or similar position
  • BSc/BA in business administration. logistics or relevant field preferred;
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CPIM) will be a plus
  • Must be capable of developing future supplier strategy.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Must have technical background in MRP/DRP, inventory control, strong supplier negotiating skills, and understand quality, manufacturing, warehouse control procedures. Prior IQMS and AS400 experience helpful.
  • Must have ability to promote teamwork.
  • Must possess strong, effective communication skills, inside and outside SVA.
  • Have sound understanding of business law, legal contracts and various financial issues including cash flow and working capital.
  • Should have proven effective scheduling performance.
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
