Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Fort Worth, Texas (Keller)

Duration: 7 months

Non-Exempt role.

Description:

Education: BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Technology)

Assist engineers and designers in the design, development, prototyping, construction follow-up, installation, and start-up of production equipment and processes, and implement project plan, insuring he satisfaction of all project objectives.

Key responsibilities include:
Routinely performs elementary design calculations; i.e., statics, hydraulics, power transmission, .
Provides accurate estimates of the time required and costs to complete assigned work.
Generates part or assembly drawings using AutoCAD or Solidworks
Follows fabrication of prototype equipment.
Conducts tests, collects and evaluates data, and makes recommendations.
Generates shop drawings and parts lists.
Assembles complete machine design packages from existing Plant files, checking drawings for accuracy and adding detail and assembly drawings where necessary.
Ensures that all machine drawings conform to client's Machine Drafting Standards
Confers with vendors in the final selection of commercial components and writes purchase requisitions.

Must Haves
1. Mechanical Engineering or Technology degree
2. Solidworks/AutoCAD experience
3. Good verbal and written communication skills
4. 5 years of experience with design, fabrication of mechanical of systems and components.

Qualification Rating Must Have Engineering Auto CAD -1 (0 - No Familiarity) of 5 (5 - Expert) and 5 years SolidWorks -1 (0 - No Familiarity) of 5 (5 - Expert) and 5 years Nice to Have Engineering 3D Modeling -1 (0 - No Familiarity) of 5 (5 - Expert) and 2 years Will the candidate be required to work at an international location?
