Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build and lead cross-functional teams that make data-driven decisions to promote the support of the client's dedication to Quality.
Technical problem solving and leadership in a full range of manufacturing and technology transfer activities, for domestic and global manufacturing locations.
Ability to work across global manufacturing sites in order to create collaboration, solve problems, and determine design standards.
Manufacturing Engineering support of projects, including process improvements, material/design/ process changes, design verification, and manufacturing trials.
Generation of technical documentation in support of project deliverables and requirements, such as protocols, reports, and change control supporting documents.
Development and management of project schedules based on the interface with development and technical support groups, to meet deliverables and commitments.
Challenge ideas, philosophies, colleagues and status quo to lead an environment of continuous improvement.
Ability to influence decisions that focus on value and balance technical risk and overall cost.
Engineering Degree, Minimum B.S. and 5-8 years related experience. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Proven leadership skills and engineering problem-solving ability.
Ability to apply statistical and engineering techniques to solve complex problems.
Skills and aptitude to support troubleshooting of equipment and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with plastic and rubber materials and manufacturing processes, equipment, and product requirements.
Business acumen within an operations environment (e.g. capital planning, cost drivers, value improvement opportunities, etc).
Ability to effectively operate within, and facilitate, cross-functional teams, with minimal guidance.
Ability to present and communicate results and recommendations to project teams and decision-makers.
Ability to balance theoretical knowledge with empirical results.
Experience in a regulated industry.
Experience with new technology development and integration (e.g. vision systems, predictive learning).
Experience with equipment automation and equipment installation.
Proficient in Solidworks 3D modelling software as well as AutoCAD 2D.
