As a member of the Global Network Services team, the Associate Network Engineer is responsible for assisting in all aspects of Network / Voice infrastructure, which includes, but is not limited to Cisco Voice, Telephony Collaboration, WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, wireless and enterprise datacenter networking on premise as well as Microsoft Azure public cloud. This position is a mid-level position on the network team, and will assist in multiple different project related to the technologies above. This person does not need to be an expert in any of those technologies, but must have fundamental understanding of Cisco networking and willingness to learn new technologies.
Support global network tools and technologies in compliance with approved processes and strict change management procedures for networks.
Participate in the collaborative design and implementation of global voice and data networks in a Cisco IP environment.
Define network and IPT requirements. Provide Tier 1-3 support for and mentor the Global Network Operations Team.
Monitoring, trending and forecasting global network performance and capacity planning.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related preferred.
CCNA a plus.
2-5 years of experience in the networking field.
For those candidates without a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of Intermediate knowledge of Cisco IP Routers, Switches, VoIP, and Call Managers
Must be able to help with Operational processes and procedures.
